Stars End: A Foundation Podcast 
Oh just a little behind here… this is the place where Asimov finishes up his exploration of Lovelock &al Gaia and Stephen J Gould’s punctuated equilibrium evolution – a couple of different evolutionary events seem to be happening here, as we have now finished walking the phylogenetic tree of human development from the Foundation world thru the Spacer worlds all the way back to the origin!
It doesn’t really feel like he didn’t have any idea where to go next – it looks like there are too many ideas here and they hadn’t formed up a story (or more) yet. Yet. He had to leave too soon. The Gaian and the Solarian….
It would be interesting to have him writing today – Solaria looks like where our civilization might be heading.
